It is one of the open gates of Al- Aqsa and it is the first western wall gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque from the north. It is a relatively small door, this door has been known in the name of old Jaffa Gate and also the door of Al-Ghanem or Al-Ghawanmah as they call it today, and that is a proportion of Jerusalem’s family lived next door known as the Al-Ghanem, since the sixth century AH, corresponding to the second century AD. The date of this section of the Mamluk period where renewed built in 707 AH / 1307 AD.
